StockGuard to protect your ANIMALS from hazardous fences

Just one strand of tape and extenders to keep their distance

In most situations at least a single strand across the top of the existing fence would increase visibility and encourage the horses to keep their distance.

Many people remove old fencing and simply use existing posts to attach 2 or 3 strands of StockGuard tape with the insulator #8 which adapts itself to a variety of fence post types.
There are fence situations where it would be more appropriate to provide a safe margin for the horse along the fence by installing the tape a small distance away from the existing fence. See our extenders on the next page.

StockGuard can be installed to make an existing fence higher

Cut off the length you need for extension from a 1.25 cm fibre-glass stake or metal rebar. Drill a 1.4 cm hole (5 cm deep) in the top of each post. Tap an insulator onto the top of each extender stake, then insert the stakes into the pre-drilled posts.

Attach the tape to the insulators. This extends the height of your existing fence and reduces the potential for jumping, chewing, etc.
