StockGuard recommends at least 2 tapes in most fencing applications to provide a safe visual and physical barrier for the horse. In an area vulnerable to weeds, the bottom tape should be a minimum of 56 centimetres off the ground.

3 strands of tape is very popular and has a more traditional appearance.
4 strands might be necessary for delicate situations, like a hot stallion, a busy road, deers, alpacas, etc. But remember never to set the tape too low.

While many stallions respect a 2 strand Hor-seGuard Fence, 3 strands provides an extra measure of safety. The ideal tape height in this situation would be 50 cm , 90 cm and 130 cm.

I want you to know how much I love your product. Friends of mine have bought other brands of ‘‘tape type’’ fencing and have had horrible results. The fence that my friend and I put up years ago at the old place still looks great and does it’s job. All I have to do is every spring check the line and tighten up spots where deer have sagged the tape. I can’t thank you enough for providing such a superior product. PAULA JP, Michigan
